The Specifics

Are you a nonprofit organization that is doing fabulous things for the LA community? Are you using creative ways to bring Angelenos together? Apply to win a chance to be the featured organization for Viva la Art!’s annual fall event, Art, Drinks, and Music.

Silent art auctions, live art, drinks, music, and good times. Your nonprofit’s big impact could be the beneficiary of this big fundraising event! This is your organization’s chance to work with the amazing folks at Viva la Art! and EPIP LA to get a head start on 2013.

Submit an idea from June 7 to July 10 (noon Pacific Time). Our judges will select which applicants will pass to the voting round. From July 10 to July 19, we’ll open it up to public voting. Rally your colleagues and friends to get behind your effort and join the public in selecting the winner.

Submission tips:

  • Include a photo or video that represents your nonprofit. Photos should be in JPG, PNG, or GIF format, at least 570 × 345 pixels and no larger than 10MB. To include a video, use a YouTube URL.
  • Write at least 3-5 sentences that describe your organization and how a fundraiser would support your work.

EPIP LA is part of a national organization that helps develop leadership in the philantropic sector across the country. Viva La Art! organizes and empowers the arts community to promote education, activism, and fundraising for charitable causes.

Rules & Regulations

  • Applicants must be a nonprofit with 501(c )3 status and be based in Los Angeles County for at least two years.
  • This Challenge is open for submissions from June 7 to July 10 (noon Pacific Time).
  • Submissions will be featured on this page and public voting will be open from July 10 to July 19 (noon Pacific Time).
  • The winning organization will receive 100% of the net funds raised from, Viva la Art’s annual event, Art, Drinks, and Music, which will be held on or before October 31, 2012.
  • In order to vote, log in with your GOOD account. If you don’t have a GOOD account, it’s free to join. All you need is an email address or a Facebook account to register. You will be emailed a link that you need to click in order to validate your address.
